Systemic Therapy Training & PALMTHERAPY Training in Comparison

Let us first define both concepts – systemic therapy and PALMTHERAPY – so that the similarities and differences become apparent. Let us begin with systemic counseling and therapy:

What is systemic therapy?

Systemic therapy is a psychotherapy procedures, that from the family therapy It focuses on the relationships and interactions within a system (e.g. family, organization). The aim of systemic psychotherapy is to improve communication and dynamics within the system and thus increase the well-being of the client. Mental disorders such as Depression, phobias or anxiety, can be treated very effectively with it. But therapists also use the approach of the systemic procedure in the form of systemic counseling or systemic coaching to resolve personal or professional crises.

Since the interaction Since the focus of systemic theory and psychology is on the relationship between the person affected and their environment (the system), several people are often included in the therapy, e.g. the partner or family members. This makes it easier to bring about changes in the entire system.

What is PALMTHERAPY?

PALMTHERAPY is a method that focuses on resolution of anxiety, stress and emotional stress in general. “PALMTHERAPY” means something like “palm therapy” – which aptly describes the therapeutic approach: By stimulating specific acupressure points on the hands can anxiety and stress fast, sustainable and reliable be dissolved.

Reason for the effectiveness as stress therapy is the pronounced hand-brain connection: This connects certain points on the hands with areas of the brain, which in turn are responsible for our emotional perception. By stimulating the right pressure points, the emotional experience can be influenced in such a way that fear and stress are transformed into calm and serenity. The self-experience of over 10,000 successfully treated clients confirms the effectiveness of PALMTHERAPY:

What are the differences between systemic therapy training and palm therapy?

Despite the same goal of both therapy trainings, there are many differences:

The treatment spectrum

The treatment spectrum of systemic therapy is wider, and also includes family therapy. PALMTHERAPY, on the other hand, is specifically designed to treat anxiety, stress and emotional distress. If you specialist for a specific topic, the PALMTHERAPY Academy probably better suited for you. If you have already considered family counseling training, the other option is probably more suitable.

The methodology and learning content

The methodology – the path to the goal – is also very different: Systemic therapy is mainly based on conversation level between the therapist and the client. PALMTHERAPY, on the other hand, works with the body (the palms) in combination with targeted, intuitive conversation. PALMTHERAPY thus pursues a more holistic approach, that connects body and mind.

This also means that the learning content very different: While you learn about systemic psychology etc. in the systemic therapy training, in the PALMTHERAPY Academy you learn the basics of hand anatomy, the 4-phase process of PALMTHERAPY and the background of how acupressure anxiety can transform into peace and serenity.

Often the systemic therapy training is more theoretical in nature, while the PALMTHERAPY training from day 1 practice-oriented works. So you can immediately start to integrate PALMTHERAPY into your daily practice and learning acupressure.

Duration and type of training

The duration of the systemic therapy training can vary from 7 weeks (block seminars) up to 3 years Most of the time, these are classroom-based training courses offered by institutes at specific locations that offer systemic therapy training courses in Berlin, Stuttgart, Hamburg, Heidelberg, Munich and other large cities.

But there are also systemic consulting training online. However, these are often not purely online training courses, but are linked to some compulsory face-to-face events, such as this systemic therapy training (DGSF) from systemic center.

The PALMTHERAPY training lasts 7 weeks and takes place 100% online So if you live in the country or simply have a long commute, a purely online course is ideal for you. This will save you a lot of time and money on travel costs.

Immediately after the 7 weeks we accompany you another 6 months in integrating PALMTHERAPY into your practice. This implementation support and supervision is individually tailored to you and your needs.

“PALMTHERAPY has been part of my work since 2018. Since then, I hardly do any treatment without this method. My patients benefit enormously from the knowledge of which emotional needs need to be lived more strongly and where the emotional bottleneck is. Even when it comes to sleep disorders in connection with exhaustion, it is always important to make the unconscious area conscious. A huge thank you for this valuable PALMTHERAPY process, which has made me aware of so many things - and for your so careful and loving support!”
