You have heard of the so-called acupressure "emergency points" Have you heard of it? Do you want to know what exactly is behind it and how exactly these points can help you? Perhaps you are also looking for an effective but simple method with which you, as a psychotherapist or alternative practitioner, can relieve fear and stress in your clients?
Then you have definitely come to the right place. In this article we will show you which emergency points acupressure for which suffering has to offer and how to stimulate these pressure points.
So let’s not waste any time and get straight to the point…
What are emergency points in acupressure?
Emergency points in acupressure are actually normal acupressure points in different parts of the body. However, they are called emergency points because they have a particularly fast and strong effect In TCM and acupuncture, we do not speak of emergency points, but of master points.
Since in PALMTHERAPY we mainly deal with mental health problems, such as anxiety, stress, panic attacks and trauma, in this article we would like to focus mainly on acupressure emergency points with precisely this effect.
But of course there are also pressure points that can help against nausea and others that are supposed to promote digestion or relieve stomach pain, as well as acupressure points for dizziness, headaches, back pain, etc. Of course, physical symptoms can also be traced back to psychological causes in some cases, such as anxiety dizziness.
However, we want to know: Which acupressure points for calming and relaxation is there? And how does it work that acupressure can help with nervousness and anxiety?
Why you neither have to nor should live with fear!
Maybe you're thinking now: “Yet another method that is supposed to make the fear simply disappear…ha ha”Because you have already tried so many things and nothing has helped – either for yourself or as a therapist for your clients. But no matter what – the fear is still there! You are right skeptical with such statements.
“In contrast to many other methods, the effect of PALMTHERAPY is already intensively researched for over 10 years In a randomized double-blind study we have seen significant and lasting treatment successes with PALMTHERAPY in clients suffering from anxiety disorders and stress."

founder of the PALMTHERAPY® Academy
That is why we are convinced: NO ONE has to live with their fear! Neither should you. And if you suffer from anxiety, panic attacks or chronic stress, you shouldn’t either: Because it limits your life enormously and can even affect the health of your body.

But why can PALMTHERAPY better treatment outcomes than other methods?
To answer this question, we would like to show you in the following sections how acupressure and PALMTHERAPY work and how you can perform a simple but effective exercise to test them.
Relieve mental tension with PALMTHERAPY through acupressure points on the hand
PALMTHERAPY is a special form of acupressure. To be more precise: hand acupressure. But why the hands?
The reason for this is the pronounced hand-brain connectionThere are a particularly large number of nerves on the hands that are connected to areas of the brain that control emotional regulation. In acupuncture, this is also referred to as activating pathways or meridians in the body.
By stimulating certain pressure points on the hands, we can, for example, achieve a calming effect in cases of anxiety and stress (more on this here: stress therapy). One of these acupressure points on the hand is the so-called emergency point.
Which point should you press when you are afraid?
The emergency point is located in the middle of the palm. It is best reached via the thumb of your other hand. When you reach the point with your thumb, you press a kind of deepening in the palm of your hand – this is how you know that you have hit the right spot.
Unlike tapping techniques such as EFT, we do not tap this point, but massage him:
Massage this acupressure point against anxiety with your thumb and circular movements clockwise the next time you are stressed or feel panic coming on. The sooner you react, the better.
Depending on how strong your feelings are, you may need to massage for a longer or shorter period of time. Often, however, relief occurs after a few minutes or even seconds of the massage. You can also switch hands and stimulate the emergency point in both palms so that your nerves can calm down and the inner tension can be released.
Tip: When doing the exercise, breathe in and out through your nose as calmly, deeply and consciously as possible. This can increase the effect.
